About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitor and Improve Site Performance: You will be responsible for monitoring site performance against set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and developing plans to improve processes and reduce risks.
  2. Develop and Implement Safety Programs: You will design and implement workplace health and safety programs, including training sessions and audits, to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  3. Analyze Safety Metrics and Trends: You will analyze safety metrics and incident trends to identify areas of high risk and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  4. Conduct Audits and Implement Solutions: You will conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with health and safety laws and regulations, and implement solutions to address any identified risks.
A Day in the Life

As a Safety Specialist at Amazon, you will be based on-site at one of our fulfillment centers, sortation centers, or delivery stations. You will work closely with colleagues across the business to identify potential issues and opportunities for improvement, and develop solutions to address them.

About the Team

Our WHS team plays a critical role in keeping our employees mentally and physically well at work. We work closely with managers, associates, and local governments to ensure compliance with Amazon's policies and legal regulations, and to maintain safe and healthy workplaces.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education to a degree level
  • NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ5 Level or Equivalent qualification
  • Understanding of Irish Environment, Health and Safety legislation
  • Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies, as well as strong stakeholder management capabilities, are highly desirable.
