Patient Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Corporate Patient Safety Team as a Patient Safety Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a high-performing organization that is committed to delivering excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of our Patient Safety Strategy, working closely with clinical and non-clinical staff to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Provide education and training to staff on patient safety and quality improvement, using your excellent communication and presentational skills.
- Support the systematic review of patient safety incidents, using your analytical and IT/database management skills to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Advise on the application of the national Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) to managing risk and safety.
- Knowledge of the Health Service and current national initiatives, particularly in relation to Clinical Governance and patient safety.
- Excellent communication, presentational, training and report writing skills.
- Skills required to undertake evaluations and/or audit.
- Skills in the analysis and interpretation of information.
- Ability to influence/persuade/motivate others.
- Knowledge of CQC lines of enquiry.
- Advanced Microsoft Office training (specifically Word and Excel).
