We are seeking a proficient Billing Specialist who can manage all facets of the monthly billing process, including comprehensive management reporting in collaboration with the airtime billing supervisor.

Your role will involve supporting the daily operations of the team while coordinating with various internal and Group departments.

It is essential to generate and analyze airtime reports to assist senior management and other team members.

Work assignments will be directed by the Airtime Billing Supervisor or the Head of Product and Airtime.
You will oversee the verification and approval of supplier invoices and manage the purchase ledger interface as necessary.

Key Responsibilities – Lead Airtime Billing Specialist

Maintain NIBS and third-party systems for provisioning orders, customer accounts, billing profiles, and rates.
Ensure the accuracy of the airtime billing database (NIBS).
Process requests for activations, deactivations, and package modifications, providing guidance on Early Termination Fees.

Supervise critical product monthly billing cycles:
Correctly configure provisioning requests.
Conduct daily/weekly error checks.
Resolve discrepancies prior to billing cycles.
Process and validate invoices before distribution.
Present analytical reports for billing and activation purposes.
Manage Freshdesk ticketing queues, ensuring prompt resolution and customer communication.
Process prepay voucher sales orders, invoices, and deliveries.
Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and departments to ensure timely and accurate processing.
Provide support and training for NIBS and INSIGHT provisioning and airtime modules.
Approve incoming supplier invoices and oversee purchase ledger activities in conjunction with finance.
Authorize and approve invoices as part of the broader banking team within Delegation of Authority protocols.

The Ideal Billing Specialist will demonstrate the following:
Comprehension of the company's offerings and how they relate to customer billing.
Familiarity with airtime processes and the ability to address queries efficiently.
Experience with Telecoms billing software and/or billing methodologies.
Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Capability to prioritize, multitask, and work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn.
Aptitude for identifying and investigating discrepancies to resolution.

Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the creation of pivot tables, charts, and lookup queries, along with intermediate skills in Microsoft Word.
