About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Officer to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to children with disabilities in our residential services.

As a Residential Care Officer, you will work closely with our experienced team to create a warm and enabling environment that meets the emotional, social, and physical needs of our young residents.

You will be responsible for delivering care and support that reflects the principles of quality care, including privacy, dignity, choice, and fulfillment, and independence.

The successful candidate will be willing to undertake any necessary training and be competent to attend training and implement Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and Signs of Safety model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver care and support to children with disabilities in a residential setting
  • Work collaboratively with the Residential Manager, Deputy Manager, and Senior Care Officers to ensure high-quality care and support
  • Participate in sleep-in duties and undertake different shift patterns to meet the needs of the service
  • Complete QCF level 3 within two years of enrolment, as required by children's homes regulations

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support to children with disabilities.

You will also need to be willing to undertake any necessary training and be competent to attend training and implement Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and Signs of Safety model.

Enhanced Level DBS Disclosure is required for appointment to this post.
