Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Residential Care Officer to join our team at Doncaster Council. As a Residential Care Officer, you will work closely with children and young people with disabilities, providing a warm and supportive environment that caters to their emotional, social, and physical needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver care and support to children and young people with disabilities in a residential setting
  • Work sensitively with children and young people to promote their independence and well-being
  • Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, promoting a culture of respect and empathy

Requirements:

  • QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Experience of working with children and young people with disabilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Competency in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and Signs of Safety model
