Care Manager Role Overview:
The Care Manager will assist with the care of children and young people aged 12-17, ensuring a homely environment is maintained and contributing to meeting each child's physical, emotional, social, and educational needs.
Building positive relationships with children and supporting their development, whilst ensuring they are kept safe.
Working within a team to advocate for children's needs, mentor and develop less experienced staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily care routines, including providing support and guidance to other staff members as needed.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a safe and welcoming environment that promotes the well-being of all children.
- Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
Requirements:
- A Level 3 Residential Childcare Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Possession of a Management qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, experience of mentoring and supporting less experienced staff.
- Excellent communication skills and empathy, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and work flexibly.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this role is up to £29,720 - £37,852.80 per annum (£13.25 - £17.16 p/hour), based on an average of 40 hours per week, inclusive of 4 sleep-ins per month.
