Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Residential Care Officer to join our team at Doncaster Council. As a Waking Night Children's Residential Officer, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for looked-after children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in our residential homes
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the home and the delivery of excellent care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working with children and young people in a residential care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic IT skills and ability to use a range of software applications
