Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit and Manage Local Campaign Volunteers

Develop and implement strategies to recruit, engage, and manage a sustainable network of local campaign volunteers.

Provide Expert Advice and Support

Offer expert advice and support to colleagues and campaign volunteers on how to challenge and influence decision-makers.

Build Relationships with Field Staff and Local Networks

Establish and maintain close working relationships with our field staff and local networks to ensure effective collaboration and coordination.

Deliver Local Campaign Activity

Use our national campaign priorities to deliver related local campaign activity, ensuring that the voices of people with Parkinson's, their families, and carers are heard.

Requirements
  • Experience in Campaigning

Proven experience in campaigning, with a strong understanding of the basic tools and techniques used in campaigning.

Volunteer Management

Experience of working with volunteers and people with lived experience of a cause, including how to support them to achieve their campaigning goals.

Event Organisation

Experience in organising events, including planning, coordination, and execution.

Networking and Relationship Building

Ability to network and build supportive relationships with volunteers, MPs, and health bodies.

Training and Development

Experience of delivering training to volunteers and staff, including developing and delivering training programs.

Flexibility and Prioritisation

Ability to work flexibly, sometimes evenings or weekends, and manage and prioritise a diverse portfolio of work.
