Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent, quality products are produced following all DO & CO standards
  • Lead a team and produce pastry according to the Head Pastry Chef/Pastry Sous Chef schedule
  • Instill a culture of job pride and ownership and motivate the team to adapt to stressful situations and deal with emergencies or last-minute changes to production
  • Coordinate, plan, and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of meals in adherence to the menu specifications
  • Take ownership of a section within our busy production kitchen
  • Prepare and bake dishes with pride; ensuring they are made to exact specifications
  • Work closely with the kitchen brigade, maintaining an inclusive team environment
  • Use culinary knowledge to ensure quality levels remain at our high standards
  • Partner with the Sous Chefs, helping them with any given duties in kitchen management
  • Delegate responsibilities to Kitchen Helpers, giving them knowledge to assist in their development

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie working on multiple sections
  • Impressive knife skills
  • Airline catering experience is a plus, although not essential
  • Confident working in busy, fast-paced culinary environments
  • Ambitious and motivated to produce high-quality dishes
  • Able to communicate effectively in English
  • Confident working in a team
  • Flexibility in regards to work availability is essential, as the Production Kitchen operates 7 days a week, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Right to work in the UK
