Key Responsibilities

  • Product Quality and Consistency: Ensure that all pastry products meet the highest standards of quality and consistency, adhering to DO & CO's strict quality control measures.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of pastry chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless production and service.
  • Culinary Innovation: Collaborate with the Head Pastry Chef and Sous Chefs to develop new and innovative pastry products that meet the demands of our discerning clients.
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Work closely with the kitchen brigade to plan and execute menus that meet the specifications of our airline clients.
  • Section Management: Take ownership of a section within the production kitchen, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Culinary Skills: Prepare and bake pastry products with precision and attention to detail, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work closely with the kitchen brigade to maintain a positive and inclusive team environment, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all pastry products meet the highest standards of quality and consistency.
  • Training and Development: Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, helping them to develop their culinary skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Pastry Chef De Partie in a high-end culinary environment, preferably in airline catering.
  • Skills: Impressive knife skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for producing high-quality pastry products.
  • Qualifications: Right to work in the UK and a valid food safety certification.
  • Personal Qualities: Ambitious, motivated, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
