Position Overview
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the production of consistent, high-quality pastry items in accordance with all DO & CO standards.
  • Leadership: Serve as a role model, guiding a team in the preparation of pastries as per the directives of the Head Pastry Chef or Pastry Sous Chef.
  • Team Motivation: Foster a culture of pride and ownership within the team, encouraging adaptability in high-pressure situations and effective handling of emergencies or last-minute production changes.
  • Production Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and engage in the preparation and presentation of meals, strictly adhering to menu specifications.
  • Section Ownership: Take responsibility for a designated area within our bustling production kitchen.
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare and bake dishes with care, ensuring they meet precise specifications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen brigade to maintain an inclusive and supportive team environment.
  • Culinary Standards: Utilize your culinary expertise to uphold our high-quality standards.
  • Supportive Partnership: Collaborate with Sous Chefs, assisting with various kitchen management tasks.
  • Delegation: Assign responsibilities to Kitchen Helpers, sharing your knowledge to aid in their professional development.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie across multiple sections.
  • Exceptional knife skills.
  • Experience in airline catering is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced culinary environments.
  • Ambition and motivation to create high-quality dishes.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities.
  • Flexibility in work availability is crucial, as our Production Kitchen operates seven days a week, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
