Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pastry Chef De Partie to join our production team. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for producing high-quality pastry products, leading a team, and maintaining a culture of job pride and ownership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce consistent, high-quality pastry products following DO & CO standards
  • Lead a team and produce pastry according to the Head Pastry Chef/Pastry Sous Chef schedule
  • Instill a culture of job pride and ownership, motivating the team to adapt to stressful situations and deal with emergencies or last-minute changes to production
  • Coordinate, plan, and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of meals in adherence to menu specifications
  • Take ownership of a section within our busy production kitchen
  • Prepare and bake dishes with pride, ensuring they meet exact specifications
  • Work closely with the kitchen brigade, maintaining an inclusive team environment
  • Use culinary knowledge to ensure quality levels remain at our high standards
  • Partner with Sous Chefs, helping with kitchen management duties
  • Delegate responsibilities to Kitchen Helpers, providing knowledge to assist in their development

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef De Partie working on multiple sections
  • Impressive knife skills
  • Airline catering experience is a plus, but not essential
  • Confident working in busy, fast-paced culinary environments
  • Ambitious and motivated to produce high-quality dishes
  • Able to communicate effectively in English
  • Confident working in a team
  • Flexibility regarding work availability is essential, as the production kitchen operates 7 days a week, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Right to work in the UK
