Job Overview:

Altus Partners is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Head of Mergers and Acquisitions. This position will be responsible for driving the company's M&A strategy, identifying and evaluating potential acquisition targets, and executing transactions to support revenue and EBITDA growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive M&A strategy aligned with the company's growth ambitions.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential acquisition targets, evaluating their strategic fit and actionability.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, C-suite executives, and industry contacts.
  • Lead end-to-end transaction execution, including due diligence, negotiation, and integration planning.
  • Drive strategic projects that support the company's growth objectives, fostering collaboration and alignment across departments.
  • Coordinate project execution, monitor progress, and address any issues or obstacles to ensure timely delivery.
  • Present recommendations to senior management, the board, and investors, providing strategic rationale and fit for potential acquisition targets.
  • Manage origination workflow independently, building profiles, modeling, and negotiating NDAs, heads of terms, and letters of intent.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 13 years of prior experience, including at least 3 in a Business Development role, preferably from an Investment Banking or Private Equity background.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation expertise, and ability to originate deals independently.
  • Experience working in a Private Equity-backed corporate environment.
  • Exceptional detail-orientation, ability to synthesize large amounts of information, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Confident and credible with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, able to establish initial relationships with vendors.
  • Ideal candidate will have strong Investment Banking and industry links to ensure a holistic view of competitors, valuations, and trends.
  • Ability to work in the office at least 2-3 days per week and travel internationally when needed.
