The Opportunity

Altus Partners is partnering with a software provider backed by a reputable Private Equity fund to find a Head of Mergers and Acquisitions. This role will drive M&A strategy, identify acquisition opportunities, and execute transactions to expand the company's presence and support growth objectives.

The Role
  • Develop and execute the company's M&A strategy, focusing on identifying and evaluating acquisition targets to support revenue and EBITDA growth.
  • Build a pipeline of potential assets, screen and prioritize targets based on strategic fit and actionability, and maintain oversight of all M&A activity.
  • Establish a network of advisors and industry contacts to source acquisition opportunities across various geographies.
  • Lead transaction execution, including due diligence, negotiation, and integration planning, in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Drive strategic projects that support the company's growth ambitions.
  • Coordinate project execution, monitor progress, and address issues to ensure timely delivery.
  • Present recommendations to senior management, the board, and investors based on target prioritization and strategic rationale.
  • Minimum 13 years of experience, including 3 in Business Development, preferably from an IB/PE background, with experience in Information Services or adjacent Services/Software business model.
  • Experience working in a Private Equity backed corporate environment.
  • Ability to work in the office 2-3 days per week and travel internationally when needed.
