This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Mental Health Practitioner in Primary Care, working closely with our community mental health services in Kent and Medway.
Job OverviewThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health care in Primary Care settings, bridging the gap between Primary Care and Secondary Mental Health services.
Main Duties- Embedding Mental Health practitioners in Primary Care Networks to provide mental health support for children and young people.
- Working autonomously and creatively in a busy and demanding role, with excellent assessment skills and knowledge of local services.
- Acting as a gatekeeper and guardian for referral to secondary services, with a strong understanding of the relationship between primary and secondary care services.
- Providing mental health care in GP settings and supporting individuals to access a range of interventions outside of secondary care services.
We are looking for a highly competent and proficient practitioner with:
- Sound knowledge and skills of Evidence-Based Practice in relation to Children's MH and emotional wellbeing.
- Good communication skills and ability to work both within MDT and independently.
- At least 3 years post-qualification experience working in CAMHS or equivalent service, with complex cases.
