Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialist Mental Health Practitioner to join our dynamic CAMHS team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing evidence-based interventions and support to children and young people experiencing mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people referred to the service.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families, carers, and other professionals.
  • Provide a range of therapeutic interventions, including CBT and other evidence-based approaches.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for young people.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all assessments, interventions, and progress.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Graduate qualified health care professional (nurse, social worker, occupational therapist).

Experience

  • Eligible for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (NMC, HCPC).
  • Experience working with children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
