Key Responsibilities- Work directly with service users in their homes and communities, providing holistic and person-centred occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of high-quality services as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
- Provide short-term specific psychosocial interventions for those who would benefit from crisis interventions.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of induction, training, and education of students and staff.
- Deliver individual care plans for a caseload and provide effective supervision, support, and guidance for support workers.
- Implement policies as directed by the trust/directorate for the department, ensuring awareness throughout the department.
- Communicate complex, sensitive, and emotional information using a variety of mediums.
- A recognised OT professional qualification.
- Registration with the HCPC.
- Trained as a practice educator with experience managing learners in the workplace.
- Two or more years post-qualified experience.
- Registered member of the relevant professional body and/or special interest group.
- Experience of being involved in service developments or audits.
