About This Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Mental Health Dietitian to join our dedicated team in Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG). This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled dietitian to make a real difference in the lives of individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
As a Lead Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in managing a small team of dietitians and dietetic assistants/apprentices. You will be responsible for providing expert clinical guidance and support to our multidisciplinary teams across inpatient and community settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized mental health dietetics assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans to adults within both inpatient and community environments.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), clinical leads, and the wider dietetic team.
- Work as an integral part of multidisciplinary teams across BNSSG to ensure coordinated care for service users with a range of complex conditions.
- Provide leadership within the mental health dietetics field, guiding and mentoring colleagues.
- Develop and deliver training programs for multidisciplinary teams on various aspects of nutrition and dietetics.
- Stay at the forefront of your field by continuously pursuing knowledge and expertise in highly specialized clinical practice areas.
- Work closely with the Head of Nutrition and Dietetics, contributing to clinical governance, staffing, service provision, and operational excellence.
