Mental Health Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Consultant to join our CAMHS Intensive Outreach Team at Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.
Main Responsibilities- Assessment and Treatment: Deliver direct interventions to service users at a level of intensity according to need, including those who require an assertive approach.
- Collaboration and Liaison: Liaise with other parts of the service, GPs, and non-NHS organisations to ensure seamless care.
- Team Management: Actively participate in team and personal caseload management and supervision.

Requirements- Eligibility: Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of gaining CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Qualifications: MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Experience: Wide breadth of clinical experience working with children and young people with mental health problems and their families.
- Assessment and Formulation: Skills in psychiatric assessment, formulation, and risk management, including safeguarding, as well as psychopharmacology in children, neurodevelopmental disorders, and attachment difficulties.
- Teaching Commitment: Commitment to and experience of undergraduate and postgraduate learning and teaching.
- Research Experience: Experience or involvement in a research project and publication, with the ability to supervise junior medical staff undertaking research projects.
- Management Skills: Evidence of management/leadership skills training.
