We are seeking a skilled Technical Artist who can seamlessly integrate into our team and contribute to the creation of engaging gaming experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of shader creation and post-processing techniques. A solid background in Unreal Engine and proficiency in Maya will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong and adaptable rigging and skinning abilities.
  • Identify and resolve issues within the art pipeline, offering effective solutions.
  • Provide optimization recommendations for various artistic elements within games.
  • Develop and refine material shaders and blueprints.
  • Collaborate closely with both coding and artistic teams.
  • Engage in constructive critique and iterative processes within a team setting.
  • Adhere to and replicate established artistic styles.
  • Exhibit a reliable understanding of platform technology, asset management, and pipeline methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in creating and optimizing shaders.
  • A minimum of one year in a similar position.
  • Creative, self-driven, and motivated.
  • Strong and versatile skills in visual effects.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine is essential.
  • Familiarity with Maya is required.
  • Highly quality-focused.
  • Experience with blueprints.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
  • A formal artistic education at least at the graduate level.
  • A robust portfolio showcasing shader work.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with iterative development and rapid gameplay prototyping.
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5.
  • Console development experience.
  • Lighting expertise.
  • Knowledge of Houdini.
