Position Overview
As a Lead Clinical Research Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission at Medway NHS Foundation Trust.
Department: Corporate
Salary Range: £35,392 - £42,618 per annum/pro rata
We are seeking a dedicated professional who is passionate about delivering Exceptional Care through Exceptional People. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in oncology and chemotherapy, with a focus on breast cancer research.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be tasked with:
- Evaluating and managing patient care pathways for individuals involved in oncology clinical trials.
- Facilitating the recruitment, education, and ongoing monitoring of trial participants.
- Ensuring the collection and accurate documentation of essential data.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- A degree or diploma in Health Science, Nursing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in clinical research, particularly within an NHS or substantial research environment.
- Management experience.
Desirable:
- Experience in oncology and chemotherapy for over two years.
Knowledge Requirements
Essential:
- Familiarity with UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care, Medicines for Human Use Regulations, Good Clinical Practice, and Health Research Authority guidelines.
