Position Overview:

Atlantis Medical Ltd is seeking dedicated and skilled Band 6 Midwives to become integral members of our Elective Caesarean Section Team. This role is focused on providing comprehensive support to women throughout their elective caesarean section experience, ensuring a compassionate and professional approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical care to women before, during, and after elective surgical procedures.
  • Facilitate the efficient operation of the Elective list, primarily during weekdays, with occasional weekend duties.
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments, provide educational resources, and manage necessary blood tests.
  • Oversee the recovery process for women post-surgery, applying enhanced recovery techniques, breastfeeding assistance, and effective wound care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, making referrals and escalating issues as necessary.

Work Schedule:

This role requires availability for day shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Current NMC registration as a Midwife.
  • Demonstrated experience in midwifery practice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Empathetic engagement with clients regarding their treatment and care.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor, contributing to a positive workplace atmosphere.
  • Awareness of personal learning needs and active participation in professional development.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in performing essential midwifery procedures and managing obstetric emergencies.
