Atlantis Medical Ltd is seeking dedicated and skilled Band 6 Midwives to enhance our Elective Caesarean Section Team. Our organization is recognized for its commitment to providing comprehensive maternity care, supported by a collaborative and dynamic healthcare team.
Role Responsibilities:
This position involves a clinical focus, providing care to women before, during, and after elective caesarean sections. The Elective Team plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the elective schedule, which typically runs Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday sessions. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting pre-operative assessments and delivering essential education to patients.
- Administering appropriate blood tests and ensuring all necessary preparations are completed.
- Providing post-operative recovery care, demonstrating expertise in enhanced recovery protocols, breastfeeding support, and wound management.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, making referrals, and escalating concerns as necessary.
Professional Development:
As part of our commitment to your growth, you will receive support from practice leaders, PMAs, and the PDM team to enhance your skills and confidence throughout your midwifery career.
Shift Requirements:
This role requires availability for day shifts.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Current NMC registration as a Midwife.
- Demonstrated experience in midwifery practice.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to collective efforts and supporting colleagues.
- Strong communication skills, ensuring clarity and understanding in both written and verbal interactions.
- Empathetic engagement with clients regarding treatments and procedures, fostering a supportive environment.
- Enthusiastic and approachable demeanor, promoting a positive workplace atmosphere.
- Awareness of personal Knowledge and Skills Framework, identifying learning needs, and actively participating in professional development activities.
- Effective time management skills, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Proficient in utilizing midwifery skills across various settings, participating in health promotion initiatives, accurately documenting patient assessments, and managing obstetric emergencies.
