Position Title: Manufacturing Operations Manager

Location: Isle of Wight - Cowes

Compensation: Approximately £65,000 based on qualifications and experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the transformation of manufacturing processes from low-volume to high-efficiency production.
  • Establish multiple assembly stations for the production and enhancement of equipment cabinets.
  • Develop a systems integration area for experimental and third-party systems.
  • Improve In-Service support capabilities to achieve world-class standards, ensuring the ability to meet demanding availability requirements across spare parts, repairs, and major refurbishments.
  • Ensure material storage solutions align with manufacturing project needs and expand capacity for core radar products while preparing for future growth.
  • Promote a culture of safety by adhering to all company SHE policies and procedures.
  • Manage coordination among production engineering, logistics, and assembly integration and testing teams to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance and training of team members with all relevant internal, legislative, regulatory, and contractual standards.
  • Provide constructive feedback to team leaders and peers regarding individual contributions and performance, implementing corrective actions when necessary.

The BAE Systems Radar Team is engaged in the design, development, manufacturing, integration, and testing of advanced Radar Systems. We supply the ARTISAN Radar equipment for various naval vessels and provide long-range air defense systems to the Royal Air Force.
