Head of Academic Quality

As a pivotal member of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), the Head of Quality Enhancement will spearhead initiatives aimed at elevating the quality and standards of our educational offerings. Our institution is renowned for its commitment to public health excellence, and this role is integral to our mission of enhancing health equity both locally and globally.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Quality & Academic Standards Team to ensure the effective implementation of quality assurance and enhancement strategies.
- Collaborate closely with the Academic Community, particularly with senior leadership, to provide expert guidance on quality assurance and academic standards.
- Oversee the review and refinement of academic regulations, policies, and processes to align with best practices in higher education.
- Coordinate internal and external reviews, ensuring compliance with established standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in process evaluation and procedural mapping.
- Extensive experience in leading quality assurance and enhancement initiatives within the higher education sector.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across diverse teams.
This is a full-time position, requiring a commitment of 35 hours per week. The role offers a competitive salary within the Professional Services salary scale, reflecting the importance of this position within our organization.
