Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial performance: Responsible for P&L within the designated territory, adhering to the approved budget (sales, OPEX).
  • Formulate and implement product commercialization strategies and plans for the country or region.
  • Develop and execute local Business and Marketing Plans, ensuring alignment with Global Brand Plans and campaigns.
  • Lead the local commercial operations, providing daily guidance to local teams.
  • Collaborate with global functions such as Supply Chain Operations, distribution logistics, Quality & Compliance, and Finance.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), customers, and other key stakeholders, in accordance with company policies.
  • Manage commercial agreements with distribution and logistics partners to ensure business performance aligns with contractual terms.
  • Ensure quality oversight of sales, marketing, distribution, and logistics activities, verifying compliance with local regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain scientific integrity and compliance of promotional materials, particularly regarding clinical data.
  • Oversee pharmacovigilance compliance for Valneva products, ensuring effective systems and processes are in place.
  • Facilitate appropriate regulatory processes and structures as part of the local regulatory agent role.
  • Promptly escalate any significant breaches of quality or regulatory compliance to the appropriate corporate authorities.
  • Recruit, manage, and develop personnel to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Provide insights and guidance to Global Marketing & Medical functions to foster collaboration and development of global campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities for product in-licensing to enhance the local product portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in executive management, sales & marketing, and financial oversight within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to network and negotiate at the executive level within the vaccine industry.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in the vaccines sector.
  • A degree in Business or Life Sciences is required; an MBA is preferred.
