Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Resourcing Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, planning, and purchasing requirements for our Project department.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a similar role, with a strong background in purchasing and procurement. They will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and have excellent negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with Project Managers to collate and address procurement needs.
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure internal schedules are maintained.
- Centralise purchasing from across various projects and optimise cost, lead-time, schedules, supplier loading, etc.
- Facilitate communication across engineering functions to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Develop and select suppliers in accordance with company procedures.
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure best value of equipment purchased.
- Build supplier relationships and long-term agreements.
- Control the supply chain, including financial, technical, schedule, commercial, and contract requirements.
- Mitigate project risk and support cost control, cash flow, and forecasting activities.
- Schedule and expedite, in the absence of an ERP/MRP system.
- Track, manage, and negotiate changes and amendments related to individual projects.
- Monitor supplier performance and raise concerns with relevant teams.
- Procure consumables as required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Significant experience in a similar role.
- Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Industry-competitive salary dependent on experience.
- 37.5 hour working week with an early finish on a Friday.
