Specialist Respiratory Physiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Physiologist to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As a Specialist Respiratory Physiologist, you will be responsible for performing and interpreting a wide range of respiratory investigations, including full lung function, mannitol challenge testing, and sleep studies.
Main Responsibilities- Perform and interpret respiratory investigations, including spirometry, flow volume loops, and lung volumes.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols and guidelines for respiratory investigations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible care for patients.
- Communicate complex information to patients and relatives, including children and those with learning and/or physical disabilities.
- Provide clinical technical advice to patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Registration with a recognized professional body, such as the Registration Council of Clinical Physiologists or the Academy of Healthcare Science.
- Knowledge of respiratory physiology to degree level and/or equivalent.
- Experience in performing and interpreting respiratory investigations.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
