We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Medicine Consultant to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our COPD services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of respiratory conditions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our COPD services, including the development of innovative ways of working to sustain increasing patient load.
- Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the smooth flow from diagnosis to treatment and follow-up.
- Perform bronchoscopies and pleural procedures as required.
- Take an active role in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
- Participate in research within the department.
- MB BS or equivalent qualification.
- MRCP or equivalent qualification.
- Certificate of completion of Specialist training in Respiratory and General Medicine or CESR or equivalent.
- Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practice.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Up to date and fit to practise safely.
- Relevant higher degree.
- Previous experience of supervising research by junior staff.
- Previous attendance on Appraisal Techniques and Small Group Teaching Workshops.
