We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Respiratory Consultant to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As a key member of our Paediatric Respiratory department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients with respiratory conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver care to patients in out-patient clinics, supervise patients, and provide care for in-patients.
- Link with Consultant colleagues in other relevant site specialist teams within Paediatrics and across the Leeds Children's Hospital.
- Work with colleagues in Paediatric Respiratory to deliver acute on-call cover for Paediatric Respiratory Medicine.
- Contribute to research, teaching, and new developments within the Paediatric Respiratory Service.
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:
- MB BS (or equivalent) qualification.
- MRCPCH or equivalent qualification.
- Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practice.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Either achieved certificate of completion of training or be within 6 months of completion.
- Is up to date and fit to practise safely.
- Higher degree MD/PhD relevant to the subspecialty.
- Valid APLS and NLS.
- Previous experience of supervising research by junior staff.
- Previous attendance on Appraisal Techniques and Small Group Teaching Workshops.
