Position Overview

The role of Senior Crew Leave Officer is pivotal in ensuring the seamless management of leave for our extensive crew network. This position is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with various regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the crew leave calendar, managing Leave Bids, Summer Leave Agreements, Auto Allocation, and Parental Leave.
  • Collaborate closely with the Crew Planning Rostering Manager to ensure adherence to country-specific legislation and agreements.
  • Identify and rectify system defects, while leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system enhancements for a robust leave management framework.
  • Provide training and conduct quality control audits to support the Leave Superusers during the leave bid process.
  • Coordinate crew communications and assist the Rostering Manager with union briefings and industrial relations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and support safety investigations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of three years' experience in a planning or establishment role, preferably in an operational planning context.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent teamwork capabilities, with a focus on constructive challenges to enhance processes and leave quality.
  • In-depth knowledge of Leave and Guaranteed Day Off (GDO) systems within Airline Information Management Systems (AIMS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with crew leave agreements across the network.
  • A solid understanding of Flight Time Limitations (FTL) and exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
