About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Design Coordinator to join our team at Crew Clothing Company. As a Design Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our design team in the administration of design tasks and presentation, archiving, and design studio maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration:
    • Manage and maintain print archives, including prints bought, vintage, or artworks developed by CAD designers.
    • Coordinate travel arrangements and costings for the design team.
    • Ensure the design studio is well-organized and recommend improvements to create a better creative environment.
    • Perform general office duties, including filing, post, and monitoring stationery stock levels.
    • Take notes during presentations as required.
    • Assist in setting up rooms for meetings and presentations.
    • Chase up samples from suppliers.
    • Maintain product boards and ensure they are up-to-date.
  • Design:
    • Conduct research on current trends and styling, maintaining a library of references for designers.
    • Keep range plans up-to-date and ready for sign-off meetings, in liaison with the Artworker.
    • Support designers with basic CAD and coloring in Adobe CS4 to maintain range plans.
    • Design core programs, such as socks and boxers/underwear, working alongside the senior Accessories designer.
    • Artwork basic stripes, checks, and prints, and prepare signed-off artwork for suppliers.
    • Maintain a fabric and trim folder library, responsible for sending colors to suppliers.
    • Work with designers to update lab dip files.
    • Support designers in communicating with suppliers on the product development cycle.
    • Organize the filing of product development documentation.
  • Key Skills and Experience:
    • Essential:
      • Degree or equivalent qualification in fashion design or a related field.
      • Excellent team player with a good eye for detail and pride in work.
      • Keen to learn and acquire new skills.
      • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
      • Keen interest in fashion, design, and the market place.
      • Excellent computer skills in CAD, Adobe, Illustrator, Excel, and other related programs.
