Position Overview
The role of the Senior Crew Leave Officer is pivotal in ensuring the seamless management of leave for our dedicated crew members. As part of the Operations team, you will be instrumental in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our operations across numerous airports.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the comprehensive management of annual and social leave for approximately 14,000 crew members.
- Coordinate and lead the crew leave team, ensuring the effective operation of the leave calendar, including Leave Bids and Parental Leave.
- Collaborate closely with the Crew Planning Rostering Manager to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and agreements.
- Identify and address system defects, while managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to enhance the leave management system.
- Deliver training and conduct quality control audits to maintain high standards within the team.
- Support the Rostering Manager with union briefings and industrial relations, ensuring clear communication with crew members.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of three years of experience in a planning or establishment role, preferably in an operational planning environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team in a dynamic setting.
- Proficiency in Leave and Guaranteed Day Off (GDO) systems, particularly within Airline Information Management Systems (AIMS).
- Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and a thorough understanding of crew leave agreements.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with a meticulous attention to detail.
