About the Role

Finatal is representing a dynamic FMCG organization that is backed by private equity and is preparing for a strategic exit in the medium term. The company has consistently demonstrated remarkable growth of 30% year-on-year, and as it approaches this exit, the Finance Director for the manufacturing division is seeking a proactive and versatile Finance Business Partner.

This role requires an individual who is ready to engage comprehensively across financial operations, taking the lead on control and planning initiatives while also contributing to working capital management and product profitability analysis. The successful candidate will benefit from direct exposure to a collaborative Finance Director who values autonomy and will play a key role in supporting the exit strategy.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital partner, you will focus on optimizing working capital and analyzing product profitability, while building strong relationships with operational, sales, and customer service teams to deliver insightful financial analyses. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring timely and precise reporting and forecasting of financial performance, including month-end results.
  • Overseeing financial compliance and controls, while managing the finance department's daily operations.
  • Producing reports to analyze material costs, variances to cost models, and other critical metrics.
  • Preparing and distributing internal monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Creating bi-weekly cash flow forecasts.
  • Conducting reconciliations and preparing year-end management and statutory accounts, including tax and audit documentation.
  • Supporting and managing the finance team (AP/AR, etc.).
  • Handling VAT reporting and ad hoc projects.
  • Possessing a solid understanding of UKGAAP and IFRS.

Candidate Requirements

  • You must be a qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/CIMA) or hold an equivalent international qualification.
  • Experience in a private equity-backed environment is preferred, along with a skillset adaptable to a fast-paced, evolving landscape focused on growth.
