Job Description

Job Title: Office & Transport Team Administrator

CSS Recycling, a leading processor and recycler of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment in the UK, is seeking an experienced Office & Transport Team Administrator to assist the Office & Transport Manager.

We promote and deliver a sustainable solution for the recycling of WEEE through the expertise of our people and investment in modern technology. Established for over 35 years, we have major contracts with local authorities, utility companies, and businesses throughout the UK.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Office & Transport Team Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for updating and recording holiday requisitions, entering weekly agency timesheets, raising purchase orders, and monitoring stock room levels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Updating and recording holiday requisitions
  • Entering weekly agency timesheets
  • Raising purchase orders for various departments
  • Monitoring stock room levels
  • Handling telephone and email queries
  • Assisting with daily office operations as required
  • Maintaining an up-to-date filing system
  • Updating weekly transport and despatch schedules in Excel
  • Liaising with existing CSS customers to manage transport bookings & requirements
  • Liaising with CSS own transport fleet and 3rd party providers
  • Managing and tracking all fleet, 3rd party & fuel costs
  • Participating in transport spend tracking and internal reporting
  • Assisting with daily transport team and office operations as required

Requirements:

  • GCSE Maths and English minimum
  • 2-year minimum experience in an office environment
  • Experience within an accounts office an advantage
  • MS Office Suite: Primarily Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Displaying effective communication both orally and in writing, while possessing an excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to multitask, working on your own initiative with minimal supervision and having a conscientious and thorough approach to work
  • Ability to successfully prioritise, manage time and resources, displaying effective organisational skills
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to undertake varied responsibilities, working alone or as part of a team
  • Punctual, polite, professional, and courteous towards customers and colleagues

Working Hours:

Full-time – 42.5 hours per week, 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday (0.5 hour for lunch)

Salary:

Salary TBC per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
