Job Description

**Financial Management Trainee - East Midlands**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Management Trainee to join our dynamic team at Talk Staff Group Limited. As a Financial Management Trainee, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial management services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. **Prepare Financial Reports**: Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple businesses within the company group, including performance analysis and interpretation.
  2. **Financial Analysis**: Ensure that planned and actual performance reports are effectively communicated and understood by senior management teams.
  3. **Financial Insights**: Provide timely and accurate financial information, analysis, and insights to guide decision-making and inform forecasting and budgeting processes.
  4. **Financial Modeling**: Conduct financial modeling to predict future financial performance.
  5. **Financial Advice**: Provide professional financial advice and guidance to project managers.
  6. **Cost Management**: Identify cost management initiatives and opportunities to improve efficiency through a deep understanding of the business.
  7. **Financial Reporting**: Work with the Head of Finance to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of financial reports and management information.
  8. **Cash Flow Forecasting**: Produce project/operational cash flow forecasts and support credit control routines related to major projects.
  9. **Financial Reconciliation**: Ensure the integrity of Protean-driven control accounts, including WIP, stock, and PO accruals.
  10. **Balance Sheet Reconciliation**: Take ownership and reconcile project balance sheets, including WIP, cost accruals, and deferred/accrued income.
  11. **Audit Preparation**: Assist with annual audit preparation and delivery.
  12. **Process Improvement**: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and implement effective solutions.
  13. **Collaboration**: Collaborate with other areas of the finance team, the Head of Finance, and other reports to the Finance Director to ensure overall objectives are delivered.
  14. **Ad Hoc Investigations**: Undertake ad hoc investigations and projects as requested by the Head of Finance, Finance Director, Managing Director, and senior management team.
Requirements:
  1. **Qualifications**: Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)
  2. **Communication Skills**: Excellent communication skills internal and external
  3. **Microsoft Office Skills**: Microsoft Office skills essential
  4. **Excel Skills**: Strong Excel skills, comfortable working with large sets of data
  5. **Attention to Detail**: Excellent attention to detail
  6. **Systems and Technical Abilities**: Strong systems and technical abilities
