Job Description

Think Accountancy and Finance is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their growing team. As a key member of the finance department, you will play a crucial role in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including all journal postings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including all journal postings, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts to inform business decisions.
  • Manage debtor accounts to ensure prompt payment and minimize bad debt.
  • Prepare periodic financial reporting and variance analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Support the preparation of statutory accounts and annual audit in accordance with IFRS, FRS 102, or UK GAAP.
  • Contribute to the development of continuous improvements to accounting and reporting processes.
  • Provide business partnering support to ensure effective communication with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or AAT qualification, with a strong desire to progress to a full qualification.
  • Experience in an accountancy practice or industry, with a focus on financial analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including SUMIF functions, and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of IFRS, FRS 101, and 102, with experience in P&L reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
