Global Mobility Program Manager

About the Role
This part-time position is a 13-month term assignment to cover parental leave and ensure the company maintains its approach to the Global Mobility program. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring continued compliance and adherence to our internal policy, primarily through the end-to-end employee residency process and the management of employment tax risk.
Organizational Context
The successful candidate will report to the International Tax Director as part of the Group Tax function, which operates within Group Finance and reports to the Head of Group Finance. The Group Tax function oversees group-wide consistency and compliance with tax affairs and maintains the Group's overall tax strategy while meeting business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the policy and process of international mobility of employees across the business, ensuring consistency and full compliance with careful management of advisors and budget.
- Work with employees and advisors to ensure required personal tax returns and other personal submissions are completed efficiently and timely.
- Provide tax advisory services to HR, finance, and business units regarding tax implications of global assignments, including cost projections, hypothetical tax, and tax equalization calculations.
- Advise on tax and social security implications of complex cross-border employment scenarios, including permanent establishment risks, double taxation, social security planning, posted worker directives, and tax treaty application.
- Manage employer-level obligations related to the expatriate population, such as Global Shadow Payroll and Short-Term Business Visitor (STBV) reporting.
- Provide input and advice to the business on global employment taxes, focusing on UK and Ireland, including IR35 determination, taxation of employee benefits and expenses, and PSA reporting.
- Potentially assist with international acquisitions and integration of new businesses, including assessment of employment tax implications in the acquired entity.
Requirements

Experience and Qualifications
- Working knowledge of global employment taxes, including mobility considerations in various countries.
- Ideal training in a professional firm.
- Qualified tax advisor (CTA/ATT) or similar accounting or tax qualification.
- Educated to undergraduate degree level or equivalent.
