Think Accountancy and Finance is seeking a highly skilled Interim Financial Controller to support a global business based in the Hemel Hempstead area.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical accounting background and be able to provide hands-on support to the finance team.

As part of a start-up business within a well-known global brand, the CFO is looking for someone who can come in and support wherever needed.

The role will involve month end reporting, managing AP/AR issues, and working with the sales team to recognize revenue.

The successful candidate will also play a key role in supporting the implementation of a new ERP system.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the month end process
  • Working with the Finance Business Partner to create forecasts for key stakeholders
  • Supporting the Group audit with the provision of IFRS information for the consolidation
  • Monitoring treasury requirements of multiple legal entities
  • Supporting the integration of acquired businesses
  • Supporting the implementation of the new ERP system
  • Year end reporting
  • Process implementation

Requirements include:

  • Qualified Accountant with 5+ years PQE including work within industry
  • Strong understanding of IFRS specifically around revenue recognition and consolidations
  • Statutory accounts preparation under IFRS
  • ERP system implementation experience
  • Experience within a Financial Controller role
  • Experience having worked for a private company
  • Excellent communicator
  • Problem focused
  • Optimistic in personality
  • Tenacity and attention to detail

This is an interim position and therefore we will only consider candidates who are on very short notice.

The position offers hybrid working from their office based in Kings Langley.
