We’re looking for a talented Financial Crime Officer to join our Financial Crime & Compliance team at CAF Bank, part of Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).

**What you’ll do**

At CAF Bank, every one of us contributes to our impact, and, as our Financial Crime Officer you too will play an integral part in what we do.

The main purpose of the role is to assist in driving best practice in the financial crime compliance space, through the development of the financial crime framework. The work involves ensuring that the business is working in line with legislation and regulations, which will shape the Financial Crime Risk Assessment, the Risk Appetite Statement, policies, procedures, and controls.

As our Financial Crime Officer, you will:

- Work closely with the business to assist with the production of the Financial Crime Risk Assessment, thus ensuring that the latest financial crime typologies are captured.
- Work closely with compliance colleagues, in actively supporting the rollout of the Financial Crime compliance monitoring programme.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to support in the development and interpretation of management Information that is aligned to financial crime risks identified
- Provide guidance to the business on legal, regulatory, and best practice requirements to strengthen operational controls.
- Support in the development and delivery of tailored financial crime training to the business.
- Provide assurance that policies, procedures and controls are in line with the UK’s legal, regulatory and industry guidance through periodical testing.

**Who you’ll be**

This role is for you if you have experience of working in a bank with exposure to financial crime controls, with a focus on money laundering, fraud and sanctions, but also with exposure to tax evasion and terrorist financing. We are looking for:

- Strong experience in conducting thematic reviews on a range of financial crime topics
- Experience in the production of materials for internal governance committees
- An understanding of what good market practice entails in determining a strong financial crime control environment
- The ability to manage a heavy caseload and prioritise accordingly
- Someone with a relevant qualification in a financial crime discipline, or working towards this
- Someone who can provide a professional level of scepticism and challenge to the status quo, but in a way that is supportive of the business
