Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Financial Accounting Lead to join our dynamic Financial Accounting team, reporting directly to the Senior Management Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the financial accounting operations, including lease accounting, asset management, taxation, compliance, statutory reporting, and consolidation.
  • Deliver timely insights into business performance through high-quality management information.
  • Drive enhancements in margin, cash flow, and working capital through effective project management and overhead control initiatives.
  • Manage and mentor an Assistant Management Accountant and Accounts Assistant.
  • Ensure the completion of all month-end tasks accurately and on schedule.
  • Prepare and review Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for multiple entities, including international subsidiaries.
  • Generate project reports, sales margin analyses, and other monthly financial reports to support margin and working capital improvements.
  • Reconcile deferred and accrued balance sheet accounts, providing timely analysis of reconciliations at both customer and project levels.
  • Conduct monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations and review reconciliations prepared by team members.
  • Assist in implementing process or system enhancements.
  • Support the budgeting process, ensuring the production of accurate and high-quality budgets within established timelines, and assist with subsequent re-forecasts.
  • Engage in ad hoc projects as directed by the Senior Management Accountant.

Qualifications:
  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a management accounting role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare comprehensive management accounts and adhere to month-end processes with accuracy and efficiency.
  • In-depth knowledge of FRS101 and IFRS accounting standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong management and communication skills.
  • Experience in project accounting.
  • Familiarity with IFS (ERP system).
