Locum Consultant – Critical Care and Anaesthesia Specialist

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced medical professional to fill the position of Locum Consultant in Critical Care and Anaesthesia. This is a unique opportunity to join a leading healthcare organization and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide consultant-led, patient-centred clinical services for the critical care department, including twice-daily reviews of patients during the working week and daily reviews at weekends.
- Make decisions on admissions and refusal of admissions, and lead the development of therapeutic plans for patients.
- Contribute to the educational and research components of the Bloomsbury Institute for Intensive Care Medicine, and collaborate with UCL Healthcare Engineering, Institute of Health Informatics, and the Department for Targeted Intervention.
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to the audit and quality improvement programme.
- Supervise, educate, and train junior doctors, and provide mentorship to medical and nursing staff.
- Eligible for full UK GMC Registration.
- On GMC Specialist Register in Intensive Care Medicine or Anaesthesia, or at the time of interview within 6 months of expected date of CCT/seeking CESR approval.
- Provider status in ALS, ATLS, and APLS, or equivalent.
- High level of commitment to teaching, with a track record of teaching at all levels.
- Familiarity with research methodology, and a record of publications.
