Locum Consultant in Cardiac Anaesthesia

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Anaesthesia Specialist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Locum Consultant in Cardiac Anaesthesia, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our cardiac anaesthesia services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical supervision of junior medical staff and contribute to the development of our cardiac anaesthesia services.
- Take an active role in the formulation, implementation, and monitoring of our department's business plan.
- Be aware of and comply with all Trust infection prevention and control policies.
- Be accountable for the implementation of the Code of Practice within your department/area of responsibility.
- Full Registration with the GMC and completed subspecialty training programme in anaesthesia or within 6 months of completion or equivalent experience.
- Wide experience and accredited training in most aspects of anaesthesia, including cardiothoracic surgery, and capable of delivering services appropriate to a large teaching hospital.
- Advanced cardiac training/fellowship and experience in TOE (transoesophageal echocardiography).
- Accreditation in TOE (transoesophageal echocardiography).
- Experience in day-to-day organisation of pain and anaesthetic services in a busy NHS hospital.
- Experience in day-to-day organisation of anaesthetic services in a busy teaching hospital.
- Familiarity with current structure of the Health Service and conversant with recent initiatives and changes.
