Role Purpose
We are looking for an experienced Fleet Operations Manager to lead our team of administrators at our headquarters. This role will be pivotal in fostering a collaborative culture while managing essential administrative functions, including insurance claims and asset oversight, while continuously seeking improvements across all departmental activities.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Team Development:
  • Act as the primary representative of the fleet department.
  • Supervise and mentor a diverse team of fleet administrators.
  • Ensure effective delegation of administrative tasks and adherence to deadlines.
  • Establish performance objectives, provide constructive feedback, and conduct regular evaluations.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation and proactive problem-solving within the team.
Insurance Claims Oversight:
  • Manage the processing and resolution of fleet-related insurance claims.
  • Work closely with the Insurance Manager and insurers to secure timely settlements.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure comprehensive documentation of claims.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all fleet insurance inquiries, ensuring accurate information is provided.
  • Promote effective communication regarding insurance matters.
Fleet Operations Management:
  • Administer various operational systems, including internal databases and regulatory portals.
  • Monitor fleet activities, ensuring compliance and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain the operational fleet list in alignment with financial records.
  • Contribute to the development of key business documents, including project proposals and monthly reports.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Gather and analyze performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Generate reports to support decision-making and track key performance indicators.
Budget Oversight:
  • Assist in establishing budget parameters for supplier expenditures.
  • Monitor spending and collaborate with finance teams to manage supplier relationships.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives within the department.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
  • Facilitate collaboration between the fleet department and other key business units.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strong background in logistics and transportation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
