Overview:
Are you a passionate and skilled Qualified Social Worker eager to make a significant impact in the lives of children in care? Ackerman Pierce Ltd is looking for a dedicated professional to join our Looked After Children Team within the LAC Service.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Qualified Social Worker in our Looked After Children Team, your role will be crucial in providing vital support and guidance to children in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and long-term stability. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and formulating care plans tailored to the unique needs and circumstances of looked after children.
- Delivering direct support and interventions to children and young people in care, fostering their emotional, educational, and social development.
- Collaborating closely with foster carers, adoptive families, and other professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for children in care.
- Advocating for the rights and needs of looked after children, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
- Monitoring and reviewing the progress of looked after children, identifying areas requiring additional support or intervention.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with relevant legislation and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should possess:
- A relevant degree or diploma in social work.
- Registration with the appropriate regulatory body.
- Experience working with looked after children or similar services.
- A solid understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to children in care.
