Position: Qualified Social Worker - Looked After Children Team

Salary: £42,951 - £43,614 + £3,000 Welcome Bonus

Overview:
Are you a passionate and skilled Qualified Social Worker eager to make a significant impact in the lives of children in care? Ackerman Pierce Ltd is looking for a dedicated professional to join our Looked After Children Team within the LAC Service.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Qualified Social Worker in our Looked After Children Team, your role will be crucial in providing vital support and guidance to children in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and long-term stability. Your responsibilities will include:
  1. Conducting assessments and formulating care plans tailored to the unique needs and circumstances of looked after children.
  2. Delivering direct support and interventions to children and young people in care, fostering their emotional, educational, and social development.
  3. Collaborating closely with foster carers, adoptive families, and other professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for children in care.
  4. Advocating for the rights and needs of looked after children, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
  5. Monitoring and reviewing the progress of looked after children, identifying areas requiring additional support or intervention.
  6. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with relevant legislation and organizational policies.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should possess:
  • A relevant degree or diploma in social work.
  • Registration with the appropriate regulatory body.
  • Experience working with looked after children or similar services.
  • A solid understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to children in care.
