Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader for our Safeguarding division. This position demands a professional with extensive management experience and a background in handling complex legal cases. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and overseeing intricate cases, ensuring robust support for the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver operational management and leadership across designated service areas, assisting the Head of Safeguarding as necessary.
- Supervise Senior Practitioners and Social Workers.
- Provide guidance and support within the Safeguarding Service.
Candidate Profile:
Ideal candidates will be passionate about positively impacting the lives of children and young people and will possess:
- Extensive social work experience, particularly in safeguarding cases, including court preparation and evidence presentation.
- Proven experience in managing case workers who provide social work services to children, young people, and their families facing safeguarding challenges.
- Background in permanency planning and supporting practitioners in thorough care planning for children.
- Experience in managing personnel, performance, and professional development to maximize team effectiveness.
- Strong understanding of risk management and safeguarding within the social care framework, including relevant legislation and policies.
Important Considerations:
Internal Transition: Start dates will be determined once all necessary pre-transfer checks are completed. Typically, transfer dates align with employee contracts unless otherwise agreed upon by the current and new line managers.
Pre-transfer Checks: Internal transitions are contingent upon satisfactory references.
