About the Role
Achieving for Children is a leading provider of fostering services, and we are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our team. As a Social Worker - Fostering & Kinship Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being and safety of children in foster care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of foster carers and children to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Develop and implement effective support plans to promote stability and permanency for children in foster care.
- Work closely with foster carers, birth families, and other professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to child welfare.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to foster carers and other stakeholders on child welfare and fostering regulations.
- Participate in peer group supervision sessions to share best practices and improve service delivery.
About You
- You will hold a professional qualification in social work (DipSW/CQSW/CSS or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England.
- You will have experience in working with current legislation and regulations, particularly in the area of fostering.
- You will possess excellent assessment, communication, and report writing skills.
- You will be able to build strong partnerships and maintain relationships with a range of professionals, including foster carers.
