About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Asset Management team at Legal & General. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the Middle Office derivatives activities, ensuring compliance with market, regulatory, and internal deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively evaluate service performance of retained and outsourced teams using daily and weekly service delivery KPI/KRIs and take appropriate action accordingly.
  • Take the lead in all matters related to employee management, ensuring consistent application of management discretion and adherence to the Group's policies and procedures.
  • Strive for excellence in data delivery, displaying an empathic leadership style, leading by example, and coaching and supporting a team expected to deliver high standards.
  • Ensure strategic and operational risks and issues are identified, prioritized, assessed, and mitigated within the function and outsourced provider.
  • Develop and refine quality processes that promote data integrity within the business, with a focus on continuous improvements to drive the development of the outsource model.
  • Proactively engage secondary service recipients to ensure service delivery is achieving standards for today and future business levels.
  • Work in partnership with the Head of Department, Senior Managers/Peers, and outsource provider to develop strategy and processes for managing middle office retained and outsourced activities.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in the asset management industry or relevant experience.
  • Continued professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices.
  • Experience of managing multiple initiatives/projects within a complex professional environment and delivering demonstrable business benefits.
