Pathology Section Manager

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pathology Section Manager to lead the Cellular Pathology service. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a deep understanding of pathology and laboratory services.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement a quality management system to ensure the delivery of high-quality services across the Cellular Pathology service.
- Lead the team to maintain UKAS accreditation to ISO 15189 and HTA standards.
- Manage and analyze data to inform quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain HTA accreditation and ensure the effective use of the Quality Management System.
This is a key leadership role within the Cellular Pathology service, and the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of staff to deliver high-quality services. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements- Relevant postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g. MSc in Pathology or a related field).
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a pathology or laboratory service.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
