Position Overview:

The Product Manager will spearhead the development and execution of the product line strategy, contributing to the brand's sustainable growth objectives. This role involves global leadership, management, and coordination of all product-related initiatives within the indoor lighting portfolio. Key responsibilities include defining goals for the product range, crafting comprehensive product briefs, and serving as the primary contact for all stakeholders regarding product matters. The individual will oversee the Profit and Loss (P&L) for their product line, collaborating closely with application heads and product families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume global Product Management accountability for designated product families within the brand.
  • Oversee a comprehensive product portfolio of luminaires, including associated software, hardware, and services, ensuring profitability aligns with corporate, application, and sustainability strategies.
  • Assess and analyze portfolio performance in collaboration with the brand to inform investment decisions.
  • Work closely with Market Intelligence and Sales teams to monitor global market trends, technological advancements, competitor activities, and customer requirements, establishing competitive attributes and value propositions.
  • Employ advanced product and competitor analysis methodologies to enhance the product portfolio and drive innovative solutions, aiming to lead the market.
  • Identify customer needs, technological trends, and competitive risks, proposing strategic positioning against competitors.
  • Formulate and articulate product strategies for each family, including short-, mid-, and long-term roadmaps, in alignment with brand objectives to achieve sales and market share targets.
  • Facilitate and lead innovation workshops for the product portfolio.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of customer-centric products, encompassing ideation, product specifications, and make-or-buy decisions, while challenging existing norms to foster groundbreaking product innovations.
  • Establish core positioning for each product family to guide marketing and pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with application heads to drive strategic portfolio pricing and manage SKU complexity across the global product range.
  • Act as a liaison between Sales, Marketing, Application PMO, and Product Development to achieve desired outcomes for customers and business objectives.
  • Initiate and manage global product launches in coordination with the Global Launch Management Head.
  • Conduct internal and external product presentations and in-depth training sessions for sales teams, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular communication with Product Development, Market Intelligence, Production, PMO, Application Heads, and Sales teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, innovation management, business administration, marketing, or related fields with a strong technical foundation.
  • Proven experience in a lighting manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in product positioning within specific markets for recognized brands.
  • Comprehensive understanding of how to shape, reposition, and develop a leading product portfolio.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills to address current and future product requirements.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of product management strategies, methodologies, tools, and lean processes.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time to support external market presence for the brand and its offerings.
